The Good-Skookum Project!

Overview

Our purpose at Sol Duc Leadership is simply to help develop the servant leaders, who will create, build, and grow, the innovative social ventures and nonprofit organizations, that are needed to help create a better world! In a sense we are an incubator for purpose-driven nonprofit social ventures

While we are excited about developing servant leaders, at the end of the day, our success is measured by the impact those leaders make, and by how many new and enduring great social ventures and nonprofit organizations they help create. We are currently focused on The Good Skookum Project.

Overview

Our third Sol Duc Leadership initiative is The Good-Skookum Project!

Our initial purpose was to help create a better world, by simply encouraging people during these unsettled global times. Our focus is serving individuals who are 55+, and who may be hurting. During our journey in 2024, we discovered we were working on the wrong problem. While our initial solutions were noble and kind, through the use of AI, we realized that the real problem is “Global Social Isolation and Loneliness.” According to the World Health Organization, this problem is now considered an epidemic.

During 2nd Half of 2024, we created a Facebook Group called The Good-Skookum Project to bring a group of individuals together to help us with “Customer Discovery.”

Our Facebook Group is private, but we would be happy to have you join us if you are interested in our cause.

Thanks to feedback and collaboration in our Facebook group, we have created an initial roadmap for the journey ahead. We realize we are working on a huge problem and seek to become thought leaders working with others from around the globe.

We have created a Project Roadmap for The Good-Skookum Project, and you may access it from inside our Facebook Community.

The Good-Skookum Global Online Community is being developed now on the Mighty Networks Community Platform and will go live on March 1, 2025.
